Graendal is part of several plot lines. Aran'gar at the very least is unseen in TGS, but involved darius_sedai Send a noteboard - 14/07/2010 02:40:09 PM
I disagree since she was killed by rand she is directly part of his plotline. Now how exactly can we have a revel of her as the killer when it HAS BEEN SAID that the KILLER will be revealing it themself. When she is dead and we know she won't be getting a flashback. Moraine killed him (slayer is ridiculous sorry eztal).

I would love for you to give more detail on how the scenes you imagine would play out.

Such a scene would precisely be a flashback in Rand's plot-/ timeline, especially if we would get the PoV from Graendal just before Rand's balefire hit her palace. It's clear from his answers, that BS won't jump back in Rand's plotline.

a better candidate as Asmodean's killer. Which it does not. There are plenty of ways to reveal Graendal as the culprit even if she is dead AND there are NO flashbacks.

There are dozens of ways to incorporate a Graendal scene from another POV that is NOT in Rand's plot line. Aran'gar could be near Elayne, Mat or Perrin and have such a flashback. Mesaana could have a chat with Demandred. Moridin could inform Cyndane and/or Moghedien of Graendal's death (or escape if that's how it plays out), there could even be another Social prior to Rand Balefiring NB.

Just because BSand said there won't be as much flashback as book 10 doesn't mean Graendal won't appear, you can't even claim she's even part of Rand's plot line! For most of the series she's not been involved directly in any of the main cast's plot lines.

He's been vague on her death since the beginning and has even alluded to her possibly being alive, which could mean she has a live appearance after the events at NB.

with her. There is nothing to indicate that she won't have a scene involving Graendal in the next book.
