Most of the Power duels we've seen seem to tend to come down to attacking each other with blades of Spirit while defending against the same, and trying to mess up the other's concentration so you can get that Spirit blade to hit home.
Graendal's handy with Compulsion, but it's not that different than being handy with Ribbons of Fire, or any of the other nasty ways of fighting with the Power. Fact is, if ANY of those weaves are successful, you're dead, so you have to keep slashing with Spirit.
So, Graendal's ability with Compulsion doesn't really give her an edge here.

Look at Egwene's Talent in cuendillar... the second strongest sister with that Talent takes hours to make cuendillar whereas Egwene can flash change hundreds of tons of iron in a second. Imagine Graendal's major Talent in Compulsion is the same... it could be devastating, and impossible to counter. Sammael himself says that the other Forsaken are so used to seeing her use it as a hammer, they forgot how good she is at subtle manipulation of the mind.
Even had you been correct, Graendal is still one of the most powerful channelers in the world. If it comes down to other weaves, it will be even.
