...that Galad brings the Children of the Light back to what they originally were -wich differ sharply from what they currently are- with leaps and bounds, by staying true to himself. It is by just being -Galad-, that he lives "The Way of the Light" as written by Lothair Mantelar at the start of the War of the Hundred Years. The Way of the Light didn't change Galad; it made Galad realize that the original Children of the Light live like he wants to live. By joining the Children and remaining true to both himself and thus Mantelar's original ethos, he managed to change the Children along with him without ever wanting to.

This in stark contrast with Egwene, who adopts all the current Aes Sedai ways of living -wich differ sharply from their original ways- and now rules all the current Aes Sedai by beating them at their own game, basically!
Egwene commands all Aes Sedai by totally becomming the current Aes Sedai and not staying true to what she was when she left Emonds Field, whereas Galad brought the Children back to what they were, by staying true to himself when he left Caemlyn.
Egwene wanted to rule and she lost herself along the way to the top.

Both have the best intentions, but I do think we'll find out that Egwene is the misguided one here.
I think that's what Cannoli is trying to say as well..but in the "Cannoli"-way (tm).
I agree fundamentally with him, although I'd word it slightly different.
