I disagree; though. On a macro scale, it could simply be the case that certain people will always act in certain ways, so its' not a question of their lack of freedom, but the fact that they are pre-destined to make certain decisions. In that interpretation, it could actually be said that the Pattern is made up of all the variations that mortal people would choose, with the parallel universes farther away from the main choices and outcomes being less real.
