I still have no idea what the general consensus is on my idea.


It seems to me that it was the responses to my posts that did that. Sorry if it seems that way but for the record I said your idea is plausible and that it would undermine what I saw as a theme in the series. Most posts on a message board evolve away from the original topic during the course of the conversation. Not sure why more people didn't respond to your original topic.


I should not have implicated you. As you say, you were one of the three people who outright had an opinion on the matter. Thank you for that. As it is, I still think your feelings on this theme in the series have merit even if what I believe is true. One does not exclude the other, imo, as has been touched on by other posters in this topic.

Generally, I am pleased with the responses my post caused. I certainly don't mind straying off-topic. I just get a mite ornery when the thread devolves into name-calling, an unfortunate pasttime by members of any online community.
