Totally true. That scene was all about Rand- Semi was just the catalyst.


Really, as I've said a few times in my replies in this thread, is that Semi's humiliation lacked satisfaction. We've only seen her a few times, and most of our dread of her is, yes, mystique. To see her humbled in such a fashion, and from the tone of the rest of the book, we can only take from tGS that the Forsaken are pretty lame.

And as true as that may be, and as poignant a commentary as that may be on the nature of evil, no one ever got excited by a lame antagonist (except for whenever Professor X turns evil).
