Surely Nynaeve would have noticed if the Compulsion started dissipating while she was delving him. Why would Graendal want to make it dissappear after delving? Rand would be on the lookout for Compulsion, so trying to hide it would just make him more suspicious. Besides, even removing simple compulsion will create side effects - look what happened to Elza.
Why would Graendal want to make it dissappear after delving? How about the lack of an evidence trail. As per the removal of simple compulsion and its side effects....we're talking Graendal here. She is the only one in the entire series who is regarded as having a *Talent* for Compulsion. Even the other Forsaken know and acknoweldge this. To underestimate her ability with it is foolish. Do you honestly think that Graendal couldn't make a specific Compulsion weave which would do what she wanted, and then dissipate and have no affects afterwards?
So you want me to believe that Graendal made a weave that hasn't even been hinted at yet, that breaks the rules of compulsion and provides no advantages over normal compulsion? This theory makes even less sense than Graendal predicting Rand would balefire her.
So are you saying that those Deathgate weaves were impossible until Rand/LT busted them out? Creating a whole new weave that the reader hasn't seen before has never been an issue before. Why now?
My theory never said that Graendal had to predict Rand balefiring her. I never said it even once. Instead I said that what would precipitate her leaving was being found out. Each and every female Forsaken has hidden and worked from that vantage point. Something that the men rarely do (Demandred & Asmodean being the exceptions). If all of a sudden, after years of hiding, she's found out....what do you think that she would do? Get out of dodge.
