In this case I think it is, because for the victim to not show any ill effects from being Compulsed (especially by Graendal, who is noted throughout the series for her heavyhandedness there) makes it much more likely that the weave was never there (BF) than that it was there and went away.


Do you remember that part in the book...I don't remember who says it...but they commented that so many forget that Graendal is so far skilled in Compulsion that they often focus on the fact that she is heavy handed, that they do not remember that she is as skilled with the subtler types of Compulsion.

I think we see that though in the difference between somebody like Kerb compared to her pets...he's much more subtley Compulsed than they are (who can do nothing other than adore and worship her and strive to make her happy). Again, we have no evidence in the books that even subtle compulsion wouldn't have SOME effect on the target when lifted.
