The detecting men channel thing is good, but it was done independantly. The Healing is the same.
My complaint is that the organizations of Salidar and the White Tower are effectively useless. They're so incredibly focused on each other that everything else falls by the wayside. And when they DO spare a glance for the outside world, they're usually either ineffective or outright harmful- see the groups sent to Rand, the attack on the Black Tower, the kidnapping of the King of Illian.
