Brilliant theory (Bob's), and you put a nice point on it.
But I have one question about the hallway.
Rand killed Rahvin with Balefire. Enough balefire to remove everything Rahvin did for some time (like killing Mat). Even effects on objects gets removed (like the Darkhound's on Mats door when Rand BF'ed them).
Rand ducked Rahvin's balefire in the hallway. When Rand kills Rahvin, the damage to the hallway should be gone, since it happened after Mat was killed. But it isn't. Which seems impossible to me.
The balefire damage must be Rand's, since it is still there. Rahvin's would be gone. And Rand didn't duck his own balefire.
Ergo, 3 and 7 aren't in the same place.Which doesn't necessarily disprove any part of the theory, just the map.
Seems intuitively obvious to me, unless I am misremembering the Rahvin encounter, or the balefire rules.

As I understand balefire rules, balefire cannot undo balefire. So no matter how hard you balefire someone, you can't undo the damage they've done with balefire, even if you can undo the non-balefire damage they've done.
