Well. I mean a book/story that you thought was pretty close to perfection.

Excuse me for being a bitch, but are there any non-literary snobs on this site?
...what Bekah means by 'writing'. Since I rarely notice writing unless it turns me off, and am far more interested in a right good ripping story.
So it's really up to you. If you're someone who likes a good story, then the storytelling will be the important bit of writing. If you're someone who likes language, it's more likely to be the mechanics of it. If you like characters then the way they're written will stand out.
Wide open.
