.....a great storyteller is the most important quality of an author. Without a good story, style, pacing, tone, meaning and significance are irrelevant because nobody would read the book.

Also, Dickens is the definition of over description, so BS wins that one! :P

And, you can skim a lot with Dostoyevsky and not miss out on the story or the deeper meaning of it.
