You should realize that you've posted in a thread more than 50 times when your opinion was clear before any discussion even started. One reply let everyone know exactly what you thought of the book. The rest of it really wasn't necessary. I understand that your main problem is most likely with the selection process for the book club, and that is something that should be discussed. This just wasn't the right place to discuss it. I suggest that a separate thread would have been a good thing to start, and I bet the admins would even have announced it in order to get everyone's opinions.

Obviously you care a lot about this book club (50 replies), and I think you would be a very valuable contributor to future discussions. I respect that. But what you did in this thread wasn't constructive at all. It kept people who were on the fence about participating (like me) from participating. I care about this site as well, and I would like to see the book clubs be successful. But honestly, I don't see the point of participating with this sort of atmosphere. I hope you can see this for what it is, and not as an attack on you personally. I just wanted you to see that there may have been unintended consequences from your actions.
