I'm going with the most likely historical version of King Arthur RugbyPlayingAshaman Send a noteboard - 09/04/2010 06:45:26 PM
A lot of the lore that surrounds Arthur and Gwenhwyfar/Guenhuueram's reigns built much of what we know about them, but the most likely real life counterpart for him was bad@$$ enough to inspire fantasy, science fiction and myths to last for ages. Heck, most people consider "L'Morte d'Arthur" by Malory to be one of the first collections or anthologies of fantasy stories since all it did was collect and interpret older tales.

That can't be said for any other King. Mainly because most Kings in fantasy are evil authority figures :P.
