It's not just that choice though. Sareitha Sedai Send a noteboard - 11/01/2011 07:12:48 PM
My big life ambition is to be a mother and housewife, yet when I tell some women this, they look like I'm insane and tell me that I am allowed a career.

To those women I say this: freedom of choice in this realm of life also means the choice to stay at home and raise a family.

It's crazy how that choice is looked down on today.

I agree with you that freedom of choice should include broader choices than just what we might pick for ourselves. Women should be able to feel supported by other women/feminists whether they want to have a paid job and have kids, have a paid job and not have kids, or have kids and not have a paid job. But whichever of those groups you fall into, you are likely to be getting judged harshly by some women who fall into either of the others.

If you are from Betelgeuse, please have one of your Earth friends read what I've written before you respond. Or try concentrating harder.
