The fact that you are referring to a fiancé and comparing it to wife says a lot

I really can't comment on the quality of either relationship from the little bit here but I can tell you there is a huge difference between a girlfriend or fiancé and a wife. The first few years I was with my wife we did everything together but we are not mirror images of each other and eventually you start to realize there are things you want to do separately. I enjoy canoing but my wife finds it boring. So sometime I talk her into going but most of the time I go alone or with my sons. She likes church and I am agnostic so I only go if my daughter in singing in the choir that day. Not spending Easter together seems a little odd but if you are not very religious and you don't have kids it really isn't much more important than groundhog day.
Relationship - positive development or signs of eventual break down?

Ew. I would have a problem with that too. Something about that attitude makes me dig in my heels.

Yes. But it didn't start out like that. Took years to chip away all our rough edges.

You don't strike me as the "screeching-howler-monkey" type to begin with.

Our priorities may shift over time, too. We're still very young and more tied to our families.
