I have no problem whatsoever with churches that choose to take a more gay-friendly stance. My problem with Danny is that he consistently gets his logic completely wrong, which undermines any legitimacy to the gay-friendly stance. Believe me, I'm by far not the only person who is going to be asking these questions.
Every religious or philosophical viewpoint needs to find some means of legitimization if it doesn't want to end up becoming a meaningless universal affirmation of "I'm okay, you're okay".
As I've said, hypocrisy is better than rank intolerance, but hypocrisy weakens the position and moral force of the hypocrite and makes it weak and vulnerable to the sorts of questioning that I've been asking.
As such, I'm going to continue to ask the question until I receive a satisfactory answer or Danny stops responding.
