With linear paged threads I could say all the same things in maybe a dozen responses, less if I reply to multiple people in the same post (which is effectively impossible in this format). And when I saw the O'Reilly thing I wouldn't have had to choose between:

1) Adding it to the original post that everyone's read an no one wants to re-read,
2) Adding it as a new reply and hoping most people who'd be interested would see the title and want to click or
3) Posting it in a whole new CMB thread, which seemed like a REALLY bad idea for reasons that should be obvious now.

Been up thirty hours and just finished a FB reply to yet another "it's all the murdered liberals fault111" from a good friend of mine. The last time we talked before this was when I asked him to pray for the friend of the girl we just spent a week with. I let him know her several surgeries reportedly went well but no one expects to find her sister at this point. And how disappointing it was that my wife and I both KNEW he'd jump on the bandwagon despite hoping he wouldn't. I think it's time to sleep and hope it's deep enough to avoid horrible nightmares. Like running into a fellow American....
