Should it be accepted or not? Even if the law defines valid exceptions, what constitutes valid applications of those exceptions?

Or suppose the ID has expired. Or their DL has an address that has changed. Or a change from maiden name to married name. Etc.

These are all things that the law can define, but which could allow for lots of mistakes and inconsistencies in practice.


But as I disclaimed before, I do think the uproar is almost as much an exaggeration as the uproar for the -need- for voter ID laws. Only slightly less so.
