There a lot of us with military training and some were in that theater

He doesn't really have point because his argument is baseless. That was not an almost impossible situation where a normal person with a gun would not have stood a decent chance of making a difference in how many people died. Would just anyone with a gun been able to stop him? Maybe not but the reality is he was just anyone with a gun and proper firearm training is hardly unusual in this country so I would think they guy with the training would actually have the edge on the untrained guy shooting into a crowd. I would assume that most but not all of the people who bother to get a concealed permit and go through the bother of carrying one of the damn things around would also go through the effort of learning to shoot it. Even if everyone who carries isn't an excellent marksman with military or police training there are enough of us who are that it can make a difference and to argue otherwise to argument against logic and common sense. Now I know we all run in different crowds but most of the men I knew and associate with in the real world would have had the training and the ability to stand a decent chance of taking this guy out.
Do you have strong feelings/opinions about gun control?
