She did pretty much spit on the original ideals of the Olympics and embarrass the Hellenic Olympic Committee, who for me have taken the right stance in being against that sort of thing.

Yeah, I don't think she showed much sense there. I am not against her punishment (explained down thread).

What I mean (about me) is that I sometimes fear that all the insistence on PC comments is pushing people the other way. If it's fun and risque to make the borderline comments, it can cause more to be said than might otherwise be if we were ignoring some/most of it. On the other hand, how can we leave people undefended if it is offensive? I don't think it's an easy answer.
