A lot; before Reagans "reforms" we already taxed them less than any other industrialized state did.

I mean between income taxes, social security, and medicare they pay out nearly 1/2 of their income to the government each year.
Yeah, that number may drop some after credits and other programs they can take advantage of, but at some point you just can't raise taxes any further.
The reality (in my mind at least) is that our government is an extremely wasteful entity. Nearly every program they run is rife with corruption, overspending, pocket stuffing, and other rubbish that doesn't need to be there.

The reality is that for all the talk of stifling growth and mass exoduses the only places investors have to go with less taxes are ones where they wouldn't live for all the money in the world. How much more? Ask the Beatles, just a few of many individuals who actually DID leave a country with high taxes on the wealthy in favor of one where taxes were much lower and the living standards nearly as high: America.
People may set flock to tax havens in places like the Bahamas, may even live there much of the time, but they don't buy their cars and computers there. They won't be going to anonymous Swiss bank accounts anymore because the Swiss are rolling over on US tax cheats (which is long overdue. )
So, yeah, we could go back to the 42% highest rate under Clinton. Or the 50% prior to Reagan "reforming" the tax code so those earning the most paid less and those earning the least paid more. Funny how those screaming about abusive tax policies never minded raising taxes on the working poor to finance reduced taxes on the independently wealthy....
