Turns out she didn't have too much wrong with her luckily, except for the fact that since she's on income assistance, her body isn't used to rich foods and reacted badly. Even though there was nothing wrong with her, if I was in the U.S. she might have been refused treatment flat out. Scotch that, she *would* have been refused treatment. And what if it had been something serious?


She would NOT have been refused treatment. Emergency rooms cannot turn people away. If you called an ambulance for her, then she would have been treated at the emergency room, regardless of her ability to pay.


And what happens next? What happens if those systems turn out to be a blood clot or cancer? What does she do then eh?
