I for one understood what he was saying despite the errors. I'm not sure whether you actually didn't understand it and genuinely require a clarification, or if you just chose to focus on form over content as that was easier to critique. Either way, the '4th grade' comment is pretty silly; if you're assigning levels to writing like that, it's generally understood that this is based on the complexity of the ideas and the vocabulary, not on the number of errors.
