that it was made through the lens of the Game of Thrones show. The changes made are all made to make storylines darker. To make the colors darker. To sex it up. To violence it up. The producer read the books, but the way the show is shot and the way it was changed is inherently problematic. It's as if they thought we wouldn't want a show that was more like the Fellowship of the Ring movie.

And to use another example - I wanted a show like the Marvel movies. Not like the Zack Snyder DC movies.

There was no reason to do to Perrin and to Mat what they did. None. They could have inserted humor. The Nynaeve backstory was also odd. When The Eye of the World was written there was a clear Tolkien influence. And that's fine. We don't need another Games of Thrones show. We don't need a show influenced by Martin.

I want a show that I think Jordan would have liked. I don't think he would have liked this show because it doesn't capture the spirit of the books.
