But since the show is making such an obvious point of only saying One Power and no reference whatsoever to saidin/saidar, I'll hold to my objections both to the opening monologue and Liandrin's comment.

A bit after posting I thought it was probably a bit silly, that anyone here likely well knows it, and most likely more than me but I guess showing that I'm tending to take the optimistic viewpoint, and reaching for reasons why it isn't too far away from the books.
