As said, usually RJ RAFOed the simple question "Who killed Asmodean", but gave different answers to more elaborate questions, which didn't only deal with the concrete identity of the killer (see e.g. also the Q&A, if the DO ordered Asmo's death).


To me it seems obvious that he had never considered this a possibility.
