It's pretty ridiculous to think that a top assassin of the Shadow might have killed Asmo.

On the other hand, it's of course perfectly reasonable that the careful Forsaken Graendal casually strolled through the Caemlyn Palace - naturally without any mask - to Compel some servants, who weren't even there, and just bumped into Asmo, so that she had to balefire him.. :banghead: :D

But hey, everyone follows his own logic! ;)
