I've been saying for years that the bell curve distribution means that the average female is around strength 50. I think Moiraine and co. are 55-60, with the bulk of women in the world being at 50, which should be Anaiya or Sheriam level.
With respect to shielding Rand, however... we need to remember that women of Sheriam's strength are very rare in the Tower. This tells me that the Tower's average is actually lower than the world's average. Which is why Rand thinks three AS cannot shield him. Average AS strength is probably between 35-40. Three such shouldn't be able to shield Rand.
Also, this means Egwene and co. would certainly have to be around 70, pushing up the likes of Nynaeve to 90-95, I think.

If Moiraine is at 60, how can Egwene then be twice as strong as Moiraine? That would make Egwene 110-120. That would make Egwene about 20% stronger than Lanfear.
So sorry, Moiraine cannot be close to the average woman. Which begs the question: Where are all the average women who are stronger than Moiraine, and where most female channelers should be placed, since the bell curve supposedly peaks in the middle?
