The average Aes Sedai CANNOT be on 50, as Maria also stated that Moiraine is twice the strength of an average Aes Sedai, and we know from the books that Egwene is almost twice as strong as Moiraine.

So clearly the Bell Curve cannot refer to absolute strength if the average woman is on 50. It has to refer to proportional or relative strength in some way. Perhaps an exponential scale or something.

The logic is pretty clear.


The question was in relation to a scale from 1-100. An absolute scale, and Maria said yes, most would be in the middle.

Its clear that average AS strength is less than average female strength of the world as a whole.
