Forkroot wears off, you know? fionwe1987 Send a noteboard - 10/06/2010 08:45:33 PM

Because she's forkrooted. To add a shield of two to that is overkill.

She says it was a weak dose, and it is already wearing off. Thus, two should certainly not be overkill, based on your strength list.

Anyway, think about the following...

1. Galina said that none of the Shaido Wise Ones are truly weak in the Power, and yet they chose their weakest to shield her. She says she could break the shield with almost no effort. You yourself said that non-AS are obviously stronger, and Galina thinks that no Wise One is weak compared to an Aes Sedai. Therefore, Galina who sits far below Egwene can free herself of an average woman. It's not a jump to say that Egwene would be able to do much more.

I'm sorry... Galina, one of the strongest Aes Sedai, can break the shield of the weakest WO, who is not all that weak by AS standards, so Egwene should be able to break the shield of some of the strongest Aes Sedai around? Are you thinking this through?

2. Nynaeve is shocked that one woman can hold her. She says that Berowin shouldn't be able to. The Black Ajah choose to link two women to hold Nynaeve, and she cannot escape. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you place Nynaeve and Egwene in relative close proximity 90 vs 80 if I'm correct?

Nope. I place Nynaeve at 90-95 and Egwene around 70.

There are multiple reasons for why this happened. First off, by your list, the two Blacks (who were weaker than Liandrin) cannot be much stronger than 35 or so together. If you put Nynaeve at 70 (am I right), they were half her strength and were able to hold her for sometime. And this is assuming Nynaeve was at full strength at that time.

Now, by your measurement, Egwene is 50, Barasine is around 22. She is even weaker than the two Blacks holding Nynaeve with difficulty, yet Katarine and Silviana both think that generally she would be able to hold Egwene, even in the early morning where the weak Forkroot dosage would wear out completely. Which makes absolutely no sense.

If Egwene is 70, and Barasine is around 40-45, this makes much more sense. As does Silviana/Katerine at 50, holding her. It also explains how two Blacks, around 35 each, can hold Nynaeve at 90-95.
