I'm merely stating the truth. RJ said that he considers the strength of the characters from 1-21. I said several posts ago that I think it clusters around 10, which fits in with his bell curve quotes.

I just don't agree that level 21 is 2x strength of level 10, any more than I think that the tallest man is twice the height of the average man, or the world's highest IQ is 2x the average one.

Okay, if there are 21 discrete levels, and only 21 levels, then you cannot have a bell curve distribution of these values. Reason:

The definition of the bell curve/normal distribution: normal distribution or Gaussian distribution is an absolutely continuous probability distribution with zero cumulants of all orders higher than two.


Let me put it more simply. Since the function that is used to draw the bell curve is continuous, that means each and every value between the lower and upper limit would have to be a part of the graph.

Simply put, you can draw the bell curve without lifting your pencil from the graph, which means that you cannot place a dot corresponding to level 1, then skip values from 1.0001 to 1.9999, then place a dot in 2.

In which case, there would be more than 21 levels.

Your theory doesn't agree with the math, and RJ certainly knew his math.
You're placing emphasis on words that Maria never said as proof of your theory, which is erroneous. Your shouting at me about my insistence that I mention levels, but I'm trying to drive the point to you that RJ only had levels - he never considered absolute strength. RJ made a 21-level list that he decided to cluster in the middle. There's no evidence that he made level 10 half as strong as level 21. It is merely the most common strength found in women, and it tapers off both sides until levels 1 and 21 become very rare.

This wouldn't be a bell curve dude.
