Lanfear alone was able to shield Rand, except that he sliced her weaves. There's no way 3xSemirhage=Lanfear.

Its closer to Semirhage almost=Lanfear. Thus, Semi alone should have a decent chance of Shielding Rand, and linked to a weak Aes Sedai, she definitely will be able to.


I think if he just stands there then Semirhage could cut him off. Lanfear certainly could - Rand said so himself.

He's probably referring to what it would take to smother him no matter what he tried. Rand's statement that it would take three women like Semirhage to cut him off is very close to Lanfear's suggestion that she link with Rahvin and Graendal to shield Rand and take him alive.
