We've seen Mesaana, Ishamael, Demandred and Semirhage trot out tons of intricate, overly complicated plans and three out of the four people on that list are still alive.
There is nothing complicated about Graendals' "plan" - some posters have suggested overly complicated ways to go about it, but I tend to stick with the most simple means of execution for a position she's repeatedly stated throughout the series - she arranged things to be able to pack up and leave as soon as Rand or any of his entourage found her and did so. Nothing that complicated, really: essentially, her plan was not to be there when he decided to attack. It just so happens that the method he chose does not appear to be the best method to use against someone who had contingency plans involving a hasty escape.

I think proposing an idea can be difficult. You want to provide as much detail to your thought process as possible, but doing so can make your idea appear complicated and therefore less plausible. However, on the other hand, without detail, an idea appears baseless and not well thought-through.
At least, that is a frustration i commonly feel.
I applaud many of you guys for (1) your detailed knowledge; and (2) your ability to articulate ideas in a manner that is both thorough and easy to digest/plausible.
What about this little 'Graendal survived' theory?
