Re: But we never... Datakim Send a noteboard - 15/07/2010 10:52:24 PM

Have such a PoV from a character, who died in the previous book. Therefore it's highly unlikely that BS would suddenly do something like this.

You could just as easily have said that we never had such a PoV from a character, who lost a battle (Sevanna) in the previous books before it happened. I don't understand the idea that just because it has never happened before, it cannot happen. There is always a first time.

One can't really understand why some people firmly believe that we will probably get such a scene from Graendal's PoV. It's like stating that we will likely get a Elza PoV in ToM, where she has a chat with her Warder before her death to give as important informations. If infos about Elza would be such important and couldn't be included in TGS for some reason, we would rather get a PoV of her Warder in ToM, where he thinks about Elza and their past talk. This is less confusing than bringing a dead character back and could actually advance the plot without jumping back in the timeline. The other way is unnecessarily more complicated.

To be honest, while I think a PoV from Graendal where we see her final thoughts as the palace is being balefired would be pretty cool, I am not all that certain it will happen. I just want to point out that it very easily COULD.

As for Elza, she is a very poor comparison to Graendal. Elza was just a random BA of little importance, whereas Graendal was a major forsaken. PoV from Elza would be pretty boring. PoV from Graendal would be very interesting.

Again, there is no sensible reason for a scene where Graendal is shown again before her death. *NM* - 14/07/2010 04:47:21 PM 805 Views
