Page 50: Foremost of the thirteen who formed the high council of the Shadow's forces was Ishamael. Believed to be the most powerful of the Chosen in the use of the One Power, he was equaled by none but Lews Therin Telamon himself.


Which clearly puts Ishamael first.

Page 53: The second most powerful man, ... Aginor, came close to rivaling Lews Therin and Ishamael in strength.


Which puts Aginor right behind Ishamael and Lews Therin.

Page 61: The most powerful of the female Forsaken, possibly the most powerful of all next to Ishamael, was Lanfear.


Which puts Lanfear greater than or equal to Aginor, right behind Lews Therin and Ishamael.

Either Lanfear or Aginor. I'm leaning towards Lanfear, which is how I voted before I even consulted the book. Yay gut instinct!


Aginor is not on RJ's list of the top Forsaken. He may have been one of the strongest, but his skills were less than impressive. It's the global picture that makes the difference, not the person's raw strength. Alivia may be the strongest woman in the Light but Cyndane used skill alone to balance the strength difference, and made it an even match.
