That may be one of the few Demandred plots that would allow him to live up to his greatness. I wouldn't mind seeing Demandred coming through with legions of men from other dimensions, grolm, raken etc....

There isn't another group of people that would allow Demandred to fulfil much awe, unless he's secretly someone like Mat and he utterly destroys Rand's army and confidence prior to the LB, but I find this extremely unlikely.
