My only reasoning can be that Ishamael/Moridin is the only Forsaken who [i]really[/i] understands the DO and has the same vision. The other Forsaken are doing it for the power; Ishamael philosophically agrees with the DO. He's frustrated at the repetitive nature of The Wheel, and he wants it to end. I think Moghedien at the beginning has some similar thought as this--why was Moridin resurrected into a body of such power when he had failed?
