Amen! Praise the Great Lord of the Dark! **I agree with all points** Bookwyrm Send a noteboard - 05/11/2009 07:21:52 AM
I am of the mind that balefire was accounted for in Moridin schemes to turn Rand to the Dark One, and his plans include using Graendal confident in her ability to survive and cause maximum emotional pain in Rand. And Graendal knew of the plans via talking with him in the Prologue, after Demandred and Mesaana left.

If she didn't die in tGS, I'm willing to bet she will die in ToM. I just don't see her battling anyone in the Last Battle.

Here is my prediction for the final showdown:

Mesaana vs Egwene (+ Vora's wand)
Demandred vs Rand (or Logain after Taim is dealt with?)
Moghedien vs Nynaeve
Cyndane vs Alivia and/or Aviendha
Halima/Aran'gar vs Caddy + circle
Padan Fain vs Mat
Moridin+DL vs Rand + Calandor + linked womenz

Wishful thinking ...
Shaidar Haran vs Bela
Cadsuane stepping on a crack and breaking her back.
Elayne vs unfortunate midwife
BOHICA - Go ahead, ask me what it means.

Maybe... - 02/11/2009 04:28:16 AM 676 Views
I think it's fair to say at this point that Graendal did not kill Asmodean. - 02/11/2009 04:36:37 AM 704 Views

Why has she been removed from the list of suspects? - 02/11/2009 02:29:41 PM 592 Views
She is dead - 09/11/2009 01:37:03 AM 541 Views
That's pretty terrible logic - 19/11/2009 05:58:57 AM 679 Views
I disagree. - 02/11/2009 10:29:21 PM 539 Views

Dead. - 02/11/2009 06:46:10 AM 538 Views
Dead as Dumbledore. But why does it preclude her from being Asmo's killer? - 02/11/2009 07:04:08 AM 632 Views
Right. That info could easily be revealed through the POV of another. *NM* - 02/11/2009 02:15:31 PM 285 Views
It could but... - 02/11/2009 03:14:23 PM 621 Views
Moridin would most likely know. - 02/11/2009 04:06:04 PM 533 Views
Well.... - 02/11/2009 08:52:52 AM 594 Views

Alive until proven otherwise IMO *spoilers* - 02/11/2009 03:47:51 PM 619 Views
That weave was very complex. - 02/11/2009 10:34:36 PM 545 Views
Actually, the one that Rand had Nynaeve study earlier was more complex. - 04/11/2009 05:11:07 PM 617 Views
But you can't reverse Compulsion by unraveling it, right? - 18/11/2009 10:48:08 PM 556 Views
Almost certainly dead - 02/11/2009 04:48:18 PM 701 Views
Yeah. Compared to, say, Sammael's "death" - 02/11/2009 10:40:01 PM 607 Views
Not even almost. Graendal and Sammael now both go well with eggs. *NM* - 03/11/2009 01:51:15 AM 307 Views
Oh, I agree, but fiction, deus ex machina, etc - 04/11/2009 09:58:42 PM 551 Views
Graendal is dead. the evidence is pretty hard - 03/11/2009 08:00:27 PM 2876 Views
Well, unlike everyone else, - 04/11/2009 01:34:57 AM 554 Views
Alive. It's the simplest answer for me, especially considering that Rand knew she was more cunning - 04/11/2009 05:03:38 PM 706 Views
Re: Balefire. - 04/11/2009 05:30:12 PM 549 Views
Not necessarily. - 04/11/2009 06:08:34 PM 509 Views
The thing is... - 04/11/2009 06:25:43 PM 598 Views
Here's the rub - she had no desire to come into contact with Rand. - 04/11/2009 10:30:05 PM 782 Views
Hm. Possible. - 04/11/2009 06:42:12 PM 838 Views
I think it's the most simple possibility. - 04/11/2009 10:39:02 PM 559 Views
Re: I think it's the most simple possibility. - 09/11/2009 01:51:52 AM 484 Views
That's just absurd - 04/11/2009 10:48:30 PM 625 Views
No, I'm making it more simple. - 04/11/2009 11:11:36 PM 570 Views
That thoery doesn't account for the undoing of the Compulsion - 04/11/2009 11:50:06 PM 574 Views
Yes, it does. Distance causes maintained weaves and Links to attenuate. - 05/11/2009 04:22:37 PM 615 Views
Yes, but Compulsion is almost never a maintained weave *NM* - 06/11/2009 07:19:24 PM 322 Views
But the real question in my mind... - 02/12/2009 08:28:31 PM 551 Views
Well - 06/12/2009 08:45:12 PM 993 Views
Odds are she's dead - 06/12/2009 08:48:19 PM 428 Views
