"Dara asked about some significant traits of the palace servants right before Asmodean was 'taken'. RJ replied that the servants were just servants and were in no way connected to the murder."
IMO, that answer also makes it rather unlikely that Graendal was there to use Compulsion on servants in the Palace (or even that Graendal & Sammael disguised themselves as those servants), as it was often suggested. The servants are obviously irrelevant, and their mention isn't supposed to be a hint to indicate that a Forsaken might be in the Palace a bit later to get servants as spies. The Palace was anyway largely empty except for Rand's troops at the time of Asmo's murder.
