Ever considered pointing them out instead of just insinuating that I am an idiot? Why did Slayer decide to return to Emond's Field to flee from Perrin? Did he just want to give Perrin a fair chance to catch him?
Luc wasn't that badly wounded. Perhaps he wanted to save his belongings and soon after he fled entered TAR again.
Of course, this scene shows that Isam & Luc are indeed basically the same person; and since Hopper says that Slayer is in TAR in the flesh, it's clear that Slayer doesn't enter TAR like a Dreamwalker, but rather like a channeler who makes making a Gateway to TAR. We know that the DO also gave other minions abilities similar to those normally only channelers have, e.g. the Gray Men a disguise.
All it shows is that Slayer is there in the flesh, it certainly doesn't mean he travels there via Gateway. As I said, it seems far more reasonable to deduce that Luc is always in the real world, and Isam is always in the Dreamworld 'in the flesh', since we had not at that point seen that he had the ability to choose. There is no evidence in this book that Slayer can travel through real space via the Dreamworld, and there is evidence against it. It is therefore absurd to assume that he could do this in order to kill Asmodean.
The first rule of being a ninja is "do no harm". Unless you intend to do harm, then do lots of harm.
