You just can't expect a lively discussion about something other than aSoIaF.

Nice.

There is, in fact, a seeming sentiment against doing anything "official" re discussion of other books. Look at the suggestions post, look at the quickpoll from yesterday, look at responses in here.


All I'm saying is that for two people to have a lively discussion of some art form, they both need access to it. In case it's a book, they both need to have read it. The more a book becomes obscure the less people can contribute.
Heck, even a godzilla sized site like imdb has movies that get no discussion. But any "Jake and Amir" video gets 2000 replies. RAFOnauts good intentions aside, it's about access. I can't say anything about the Book Club because I don't follow it. I don't even know if you have it here :O


But surely that is the point.
A book club encourages people to read the same book at the same time.
