am I the only one who has noticed that Moridin is a Buddhist?

All that Kerouac and "pretty women make graves" (because they inspire lust, which leads to reproduction, which multiplies suffering) and it went right by me. So we have Christianity, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, a fair amount of Jainist elements in the original Aiel as well as the Tinkers (Tinkers can eat meat though, right? Does anyone recall seeing a Tinker eat meat?) and of course the vague animism that crops up in virtually every fantasy work. No, no depth at all. :P
