After all, in Dan Brown's books the characters willingly engage in the search for mythical artifacts, when they really should understand that such things do not exist. The search, however, leads them to realise that the true source of spiritual power is within them, and the strength that the quest gives them to struggle against adversity shows the indomitable nature of the human spirit.

My point is that you can find anything you're looking for. It doesn't change the superficial nature of the book.
