I do believe he would agree to consider the Bible "flawed" in the sense that verses can be overruled by other verses, or even by general principles that aren't directly related to the point. The Bible really does not provide much direct ammunition to people wanting to defend gay rights or the equal value of gay relationships, but if you look at it the way Danny seems to - regarding it not so much as "flawed", but rather as a mosaic of texts that can contradict each other on some points, and which become religious truth only when taken as a whole (and hence, inevitably, interpreted) - one can refuse to heed the anti-gay verses. Without rejecting the Bible, or even just parts of it.
