Ignore who gave you the information and who the party is do you support that sort of behavior in our president. Can you honestly say you would have supported Obama behaving like that?

I didn't see POTUS doing a quid pro quo. But to answer, is it Ok. No. However it is no more wrong than using that same position to stop a world leader from digging up dirt on your own family.
