What a dangerous opinion... especially from a supposed defender of minority rights...

No, of course it doesn't. But it's hardly something you can make a decision about and impose on the whole country. If you believe life begins at meiotic cell division, go for it, preserve every sperm cell. But why am I obliged to follow this?

Science certainly doesn't support any such notion, so given the absence of anything approaching secular agreement on when life begins, why should the entire country follow the beliefs of one religious group?
