I think Siuan is a lesser woman. Even in NS she was better than she is now. She may be a good advisor with a sharp mind, but she's still a shadow of what she was.


It's hard for me to envision how one's respect for someone who thrives in a position where most people curl up and die (stilling) despite not having any real authority and treated like a doormat by everyone she used to boss around could possibly go down.

Any flaws she had relative to her reign were present BEFORE the stilling, so the stilling can't be the cause of those issues.

Is she perfect? No. Is she smart, courageous, and resolute more than virtually any other character? Yes.

Heck, just compare her to Logain. Or any of the other AS stilled at the Wells.

Siuan and Leanne are clearly made of sterner stuff.
