A TAR using top bounty hunter/assassin of the Shadow nicknamed "Slayer", who killed or tried to kill other people (also members of the Shadow) in secluded places in the books before, also finished the traitor Asmo and was ordered to remove his body. As often said, IMO, it's possible to figure all this out before LoC. And if one manages this, Slayer is really an obvious killer.

As for the other points, Rand is the Dragon Reborn and THE hero of the story, of course could he outsmart an evil character like Graendal, like he and other "kids" also killed or captured many other supposedly "godlike" Forsaken before.
