The thing is... Etzel Send a noteboard - 04/11/2009 06:25:43 PM
Graendal couldn't know that Rand would immediately balefire her entire palace. Besides that, she had orders from Moridin to break Rand. With meeting Rand's messenger she finally had a great opportunity to come into contact with Rand. It makes no sense that she would only use fake Compulsion then. That would mean she predicted that Rand only sent the messenger, so that he could later determine if Graendal was balefired. The Forsaken aren't that smart.

Dead as Dumbledore. But why does it preclude her from being Asmo's killer? - 02/11/2009 07:04:08 AM 976 Views
Right. That info could easily be revealed through the POV of another. *NM* - 02/11/2009 02:15:31 PM 440 Views

That weave was very complex. - 02/11/2009 10:34:36 PM 874 Views
Actually, the one that Rand had Nynaeve study earlier was more complex. - 04/11/2009 05:11:07 PM 945 Views
But you can't reverse Compulsion by unraveling it, right? - 18/11/2009 10:48:08 PM 904 Views
Almost certainly dead - 02/11/2009 04:48:18 PM 1060 Views
Yeah. Compared to, say, Sammael's "death" - 02/11/2009 10:40:01 PM 961 Views
Not even almost. Graendal and Sammael now both go well with eggs. *NM* - 03/11/2009 01:51:15 AM 459 Views

That thoery doesn't account for the undoing of the Compulsion - 04/11/2009 11:50:06 PM 926 Views
Yes, it does. Distance causes maintained weaves and Links to attenuate. - 05/11/2009 04:22:37 PM 983 Views
